As its premier offering, Clarbec, Inc. presents a 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. According to renowned winemaker, Tom Montgomery, CLARBEC™ 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is well extracted with aromas of plum, cherry and black currant. Surrounded by a complex bouquet of French oak, anise, mint and a hint of herb, CLARBEC™ 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has been aged for 20 months in the best of barrels: a tight-grain, 3-year, air-dried French oak barrel.

The grapes represent the first Cabernet Sauvignon vintage from the historic Glen Oaks Ranch, which is on the west slope of the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma County. Here in this warm microclimate, Glen Oaks Ranch grapes grow in a robust volcanic alluvial soil that produces a rich concentrated cabernet fruit. The property has been in continuous production as a vineyard for at least 100 years and is a Certified Sustainable farm.

Our 2007 Pinot Gris is a blend of grapes from two of Sonoma's best vineyards. 50% CLARBEC™ Vineyard and 50% Lila Lane Vineyard. This combination produces a wine that is ripe with bright lemon citrus and floral notes. It has aromas of apricot, honeydew melon, pear, honeysuckle and sweet cream. Crisp and clean on the palate with a lasting finish. 33% barrel fermented in new French oak for added complexity. Perfect with seafood and poultry or simply refreshing and luscious by itself.

Our 2006 Sonoma Valley Cabernet is a blend of the valley's best vineyards. This combination of Mayacamas volcanic soils and warm days in Glen Ellen provide a unique microclimate for growing great Cabernet. The vineyards are low yield, producing small concentrated berries with intense varietal character. This is a rich Cabernet with aromas of plum, black cherry, and currant. Our Cabernet is aged for 20 months in French oak, ading a bouquet of toasty vanilla, nutmeg, anise, and cedar cigar box. Smooth tannin and lasting flavors of berry and cherry make this the perfect wine for grilled meats and robust pasta dishes.
